THE EFFECTIVENESS OF KAHOOT IN SUPPORTING GRAMMAR CLASS ON CLASS A YEAR I STUDENTS ACADEMIC YEAR 2016/2017 OF DIPLOMA III OF NURSING NGUDI WALUYO UNIVERSITY

Abstract


This research entitled is effectiveness of kahoot in supporting grammar class on class A year I students academic year 2016/2017 Ngudi Waluyo University. A lot of students said grammar lesson is boring. It can be seen from the evaluation result of previous students that their result didn‘t satisfy. The function of lecturer as facilitator in his/her class should find the solution to solve that problem. First year students‘ academic year 2016/2017 has used kahoot application in their Grammar class. This application is in Smartphone that almost all the students have it. In this application the students should compete to answer some quest ions that the lecturer has put them in this application. The students are invited to play game by using this application to answer some grammar questions. The result is interesting. From the questioner that was distributed to 37 first year students‘ academic year 2016/2017 almost all of them enjoyed using kahoot in grammar class. They felt something different in grammar class that usually boring and not enjoyable. From their result were gotten 5 students got A, 20 students got B, 11 students got C and only 1 student got D. It can be concluded that using kahoot application in grammar class toward first year students Diploma III of Nursing Ngudi Waluyo University was effective because it can stimulate their motivation.
