THE EFFECTIVENESS OF “PATH” ON STUDENTS‟ RECOUNT TEXT WRITING

Abstract


This paper is based on experimental research which aims to discover the effectiveness of Path on students‘ recount text writing. The sample in this study was two classes of the eighth grade students of SMP N 1 Jati Kudus that involved 60 students. The experimental group was taught using social media of Path as a learning media and the control group was taught using a power point media. To find out whether there was any significant difference of the post-test score of the experimental and control groups, t-test was calculated, and it was found that the tvalue was higher than the ttable (3.573>2.00). It is concluded that there is a significant effect of using Path on students‘ recount text writing.
