RELATION OF LEADER-SUBORDINATE IN DETERMINING EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP ON SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES

Abstract


Attention to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) should be further improved. The role of SMEs to national economic stability has been proven, so that their existence can not be underestimated. The role of SMEs so great is not balanced with the government's attention to their problem, especially related to the weakness of effective leadership in order to improve the performance of SMEs. The results showed that SMEs had weakness in managing the relationship with the subordinate-leadership. Yet this relationship had an effect on the creation of effective leaders. Ineffective leadership caused the performance of SMEs declined. Therefore, SMEs should improve the condition of relations of leadership and its subordinates in the future while paying attention to the task structure and strength of leadership positions that have been running.
