Abstract


The construction industry is an industry that has unique characteristics. Each project has certain characteristics that are different from other projects, especially other types of industries that are mass product. The construction industry has a high risk characteristic, where the project must be on budget, on schedule and in accordance with predetermined quality standards. Uncertainty factor never escape from the life cycle of construction project. This case study was conducted to see how the process of project management implementation in helping to control the project time on Pelita Bangsa Project. This case study is carried out through the approach of the crashing duration method, in which the contractor implements a fast track for jobs that are in a critical path. Based on the analysis, the construction work reaches 100% at the end of project age. Thus through the appropriate project management approach, construction project delays can be handled well.
